VIDEO PRODUCTION & VIDEO EDITING

Storytelling is at the core of every video piece I put together for the Surgeon General’s communications team.

As a contractor for this office, I sit in on meetings with their leadership staff, science and policy team, and their outreach staff to come up with creative ways to illustrate the topics that they will be focusing on each quarter.

The projects highlighted below were produced by me from the beginning steps of ideation all the way to the final process of editing.

On site filming, audio production, lighting, title cards, music beds, and over arching pace of the stories are created by me. I solely film on Sony Alpha mirrorless camera systems with RODE microphones on the DJI Ronin Gimbal. All editing is completed in both Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.

The Surgeon General Medallion Awards

Filmed and produced at the Kennedy Center

in Washington, D.C.

Directed by Vernessa Shih.

Visualizing Concepts

An example of the content created for the Surgeon General’s team that did not directly involve the principal. I took an idea to create an Instagram Reel for International Women’s Day and produced this piece.

The Connections Tour

I traveled with the Surgeon General to six universities across the United States as he spoke with students, faculty, and staff about the essential conversation needed surrounding youth mental health.

Editing completed in Adobe Premiere.
